Ministry of the Good News

Reading the last “goodbye” from St. Paul’s emails and texts by Dee-Ann Leone, yesterday was a moment for pause, reflection, and gratitude to a “good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21

For four long years, Dee-Ann has created and produced a meditation and inspirational “thought for the day” through emails and texts which has nurtured the Faith of our parishioners and provided food for thought for our readers.

Being the author of such a message requires, perseverance, creativity, research skills and great love for God and church which Dee-Ann has aplenty.

Our church owes a big debt of gratitude to her, reminding all of us that our talents from God are not something “to put under a bushel basket but to set on a lampshade for all in the house to see.” Matthew 5:15.

Longfellow’s poem comes to mind: “Lives of great ones all remind us; we can make out life sublime, and, departing, leave behind us footprints on the sands of time.”

Congratulations and thanks Dee-Ann for being the bearer of the Good News to so many.
