On September 14 at St. Martha’s Church, Archbishop Wenski, Bishop Delgado and many priests celebrated a special coronation mass honoring Our Lady, Guardian of the Faith — the very same statue Msgr. Dever welcomed to our chapel many years ago; the archbishop crowned her for the second time on the 12th anniversary of her first coronation at St. Mary’s Cathedral in 2014. Our parishioner Tom Sheehan (and leader of the Wednesday night Guardian men’s cenacle) was honored to be chosen as a bearer of the statue, processing Our Lady in and out of the church. “Msgr. Brice must have been smiling down on us,” said Paul Ludwick, one of the area representatives for the Guardian of the Faith Association in Florida. “He was the reason my wife Darlene and I got involved with Guardian of the Faith in the beginning, and he never missed a Wednesday night cenacle with the men. We are all beyond grateful for the archbishop’s recognition and endorsement of the gifts the Guardian of the Faith brings to South Florida Catholics, mentioning the many prayer cenacles by name.”
St. Paul has two rosary cenacle groups operating: Monday morning at 9:30AM headed up by Denise Gentile and Darlene Ludwick, and a Wednesday night men’s cenacle led by Tom Sheehan. All are welcome. You can read more about the beautiful crowning Mass
